Digital scholarship: towards ontological shift
Just stumbled across this summary slide from the Computational Thinking seminar I gave in Edinburgh in 2007, on how digital media might change scholarship [slides]:
4 years later, I think we can see signs of the ontological shift starting to register in the collective consciousness, “but it’s unevenly distributed” to borrow from William Gibson’s memorable description of the future.
